Administrative alterations

Professor Peter Bearman, currently head of the Department of Aeronautics, is to replace Professor Glyn Davies, pro rector (resources), following his retirement on 31 December.

“We are, however, taking the opportunity to rearrange duties between pro rectors and this will be the subject of explanation and discussion at a forthcoming HoDs meeting, and hopefully, subsequently, in IC Reporter. Professor Bearman will be designated pro rector (projects),” commented the rector.

MPG moves

John Pendry, head of the Department of Physics, is to join the MPG (Management and Planning Group) following the resignation of Professor Adrian Smith who has become principal of Queen Mary and Westfield College.
