Join us for a day of learning and networking at the Imperial Policy Forum and Global Development Hub! Our Masterclass on International Policy Engagement will feature top experts sharing their insights and strategies for effective policy engagement on a global scale.

09.15 – 09.30: Arrival and coffee/tea reception

09.30 – 0935: Quick intro of the Global Development Hub and Imperial Policy Forum, as well as an overview of the training content

09.35 – 10.00: Overview of some of the main international organisations and global fora with a link to policy making, policy analysis or policy agenda setting:

  • UN System (General Assembly, Economic and Social Council, Specialized Agencies, Secretariat)
  • Multilateral Development Banks (World Bank, Interamerican Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, etc)
  • OECD
  • G20

10.00 – 10.35: 25′- Concrete paths to work with those organisations through different partnership modalities:

  • Participation in ad-hoc technical consultations
  • Proposing side events to global meetings (in person/virtual) to raise awareness of scientific developments affecting the global development space
  • Taking up formal advisory roles
  • Developing accredited research networks
  • Building relationships for joint proposal submission and project delivery with funders (governments, philanthropies, NGOs, etc).
