Summary
My research examines non-linear elastic properties of fluid-saturated porous media under static and dynamic loading conditions. The aim is to explain the discrepancies between the static and dynamic elastic moduli of rocks, with direct applications in 4D seismic reservoir monitoring.
The essence of my work is mainly computational as I solve wave propagation problems and other mechanical questions via spectral finite element methods. These numerical models are based on various data and processes from the oil and gas industry.
