Summary
Anna McCormick became Executive Assistant to the Head of Department, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering in August 2015. She is also working as the department's Athena Swan Coordinator and carries out HR related duties for the department. Anna is also a Sexual Violence Liaison Officer for the College.
Previously, she worked at the London School of Economics as an Executive Assistant to the Head of International Relations, before that, she worked for two years as Programme and Advocacy Manager at Soroptimist International, an international women's rights organisation based in Cambridge.
Anna holds a BA International Studies with French and a MA Human Rights, specialising in women's rights. She successfully completed an internship at UN Women, New Delhi as part of her studies, and a volunteer placement in Nepal at a shelter for trafficked women and children. Her Masters dissertation discussed access to justice for those experiencing gender violence in South Asia.
