Summary

My research is on statistical methods and models for problems in Astrophysics. I am working with David van Dyk, as well as astrophysicists at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

I am open to supervising students on the MSc Statistics course. The project I have in mind is on simulation-based inference of the spectra of stars. If you are a student on the MSc Statistics course and are interested in this project, please feel free to stop by my office (6m23, Huxley) at 4.30pm on either 6th or 7th February to discuss the project.

In 2023 I organised two reading groups, one on simulation-based inference and the other on deep learning. I am currently organising a reading group on fundamental topics in machine learning -- feel free to contact me if you are interested in joining.

I graduated from my PhD programme in 2023. My thesis was titled "Monte Carlo Methods based on Novel Classes of Regeneration-enriched Markov processes". My PhD was at the University of Warwick, as part of the Oxford-Warwick Statistics Programme (OxWaSP) Centre for Doctoral Training, under the supervision of Gareth Roberts and Murray Pollock.

Occasionally I write blog posts about my work, which may be found on my personal website.
