The second phase of the refurbishment will start in January 2025 and will last until end of June 2025. These dates may change and we will be providing regular updates.

170 Queen's Gate is a stunning grade II listed Victorian townhouse, completed in 1889 by Norman Shaw, one of the most important architects of the 19th century.

We have two types of accommodation available at 170 Queen's Gate for College staff and visiting academics use. There are two fully-equipped one-bedroom flats and one Guest Room available to book. Our accommodation is stylish and modern whilst providing our guests with a 'home from home' in central London.

As part of our South Kensington campus, 170 Queen's Gate is a short walk from many of London's major tourist attractions, including the world-renowned Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park and Harrods and just a few steps from Exhibition Road, home to the Victoria and Albert, Natural History and Science museums.

Notification:

Cancellation Policy:
Up to 48 hours prior to arrival (not including the arrival date) for bookings up to 14 days - free of charge
Less than 48 hours prior to arrival for bookings up to 14 days - 100% cancellation charges apply
Up to 7 days prior to arrival for booking made for more than 14 days - free of charge
Less than 7 days prior to arrival for booking made for more than 14 days -  100% cancellation charges apply
For bookings requested more than 3 months in advance - 7 days cancellation policy apply

On arrival, please collect your keys from the Security Control Room 108 located on Level 1, Sherfield Building. You will be asked to sign for the keys by the Security Officer.

Due to the age of the building, our accommodation is unfortunately not accessible; all guest accommodation is located on level 4 of 170 QG and there is no lift in the building.

If you arrive between 23.00 and 5.30, please access the campus via Prince Consort Road or Imperial College Road, as the gate between Queen's Gate Entrance and the Security Control Room is locked between these hours.

On departure please drop your keys in the Drop Off Box located in the lobby.

WiFi Access

To access free College WiFi please follow below instructions:

- Check your WiFi is on 
- Select The Cloud from the available network list
- Open browser and follow on screen instructions to register
- Once you are registered you will seamlessly connect without needing to re-enter your username and password
