How to book

Booking diaries for all of the instruments in the X-ray crystallography facility are located on the PPMS system. Only registered users for the Center for Structural Biology (CSB) can access the diaries and make a booking. External users should contact the Facility manager Dr Sam Horrell (shorrell@ic.ac.uk) for access and pricing.

• Size Exclusion Chromatography Multi Angle light Scattering (SEC MALS)
• Isothermal Titration Calorimitry (ITC)
• Circular Dichroism (CD)

Crystallisation robot

Setting up crystallisation plates with the mosquito is very quick so booking is not required, if you are setting up a large number it can't hurt to check availability with the facility manager beforehand.

If using one of the facilities premade crystallisation plates make sure to place your order 24 hours before the plates are required so the facility manager can prepare more if necessary and place them in the 4C incubator ready for you. 

There are several options for ordering crystallisaiton plates, they include the following:

• Empty Crystallisation plates - £20
• Filled Crystallisation plates, 1 drop - £23
• Filled Crystallisation Plates, 2 drops -£26
• Prepaid Crystallisation Plates -

These costs are the actual cost for production inclusive of consumables (plates, mosquito tips, dragonfly syringes and reservoirs) and use of the facility services; the CSB makes no profit from these plates.
