The Departmental Juno Transparency and Opportunity Committee

The Committee aims to address the under representation of women and minorities in university physics, and to create a welcoming and inclusive environment in the Department. The Committee was established in 2007 to implement the Institute of Physics' Juno Code of practice
, and is also guided by the Athena Swan Charter. The Department of Physics currently holds Juno Practitioner status and the Athena Silver Swan award. The Head of Department and the Heads of Group have endorsed an ongoing action plan to stay commited to advance and promote minorities in Physics.
