Pre-award team
Each department in the Faculty of Engineering has a primary contact within the pre-award team, however all costing requests and queries should be directed to rspreaward.engineering@imperial.ac.uk in the first instance. The team requires a minimum of 10 working days’ notice prior to any funder deadline.
Once received, the request will be logged and assigned to a member of the pre-award team, based on workload and capacity at the time. Therefore, a PI might receive support from a member of the team who is not their primary departmental contact.

Shaun is responsible for the administration of the Faculty's research funding and the overall management of the faculty research services team (both pre- and post-award).

John provides higher-level support on large and/or complex bids, as well as all industrial funding. He is also responsible for the technical training within the pre-award team. John works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Samuel Mugodza
Roles
Samuel works full time and is responsible for the operational oversight of Research Proposal Coordinators in the pre-award team who support the Departments of Aeronautics, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computing, Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Samuel is also primarily responsible for providing support to the Departments of Civil and Mechanical Engineering on costing, pricing and submission of research proposals to all funders.
